GLOBAL TALENT INDEPENDENT PROGRAM

The Global Talent Visa Program, also known as the Global Talent Independent Program, is a streamlined visa pathway designed to attract highly qualified, experienced and exceptionally talented individuals from across the globe to live and work in Australia as Permanent Residents. 
In 2020-2021, there are 15,000 places available under the program.

The Department are also looking to target PhD students with research that is internationally recognised and relevant to one of the target sectors:

• Recent PhD graduates (Completed PhD in last 3 years) and can demonstrate exceptional talent and international recognition across the target sectors.

• PhD student and ready to submit a thesis within the next 6 months.
